EMELE
meet henry
Henry Emele is an entrepreneur, husband, and father of two young boys, raising his family in Manchester's Ward 7. He's spent years building businesses, and he's seen firsthand how too many Manchester families are getting stretched thin.
Henry is running for State Representative in District 26 to focus on what matters to Manchester families: making New Hampshire affordable again, expanding housing for working families, strengthening our schools, and tackling the homelessness and mental health challenges on our streets. He believes good ideas come from every side of the aisle, and he'll work with Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike to solve problems for our community. He's not a career politician. He's your neighbor, and he's ready to represent you.
Our Manchester Story
We moved from Texas to Manchester with our young son Ugo and a conviction: New Hampshire was where we wanted to build the rest of our lives. We believed the move would open doors for our family. But what we fell in love with wasn't only the opportunity. It was the closeness this community provides. The feeling that you weren't on your own.
A few years later, that feeling got tested. My wife went into unexpected labor with our second son. Our family is all back in Texas and Louisiana. With nowhere else to turn, we knocked on our neighbor's door. They watched Ugo while we went to the hospital to meet our second son.
That's the New Hampshire I fell in love with. We protect each other during unsettling times. We comfort each other through loss. We support each other through the highs and lows of life. And most of all, we dream together. We dream of a better world, a better community, a better neighborhood for all of us to live in.
That's why I'm running. This community gave my family something we'd been searching for, and I want every family in Manchester to feel that same belonging. The rising cost of living, the housing crunch, the homelessness and mental health challenges our neighbors are quietly carrying. These aren't abstract issues. They're threats to the very community that welcomed us.
I'm running to protect what we found here.
